The Islamic Association of Lincoln would like to welcome in Ramadan 2017/1438AH which will begin on Saturday 27 May. We pray everyone has a productive and rewarding Ramadan, insha’Allah.
“Fast when you see the crescent. If it is obscured to you, then complete thirty days of Sha’baan. And break your fast when you see the crescent. If it is obscured to you then fast thirty days”.[transmitted by Bukhari and Muslim].
Taraweh prayers will be held at the Grandstand starting on Friday 26th May after Isha prayers.
Lincoln Faiths Festival
The Islamic Association of Lincoln, City of Lincoln Council, Lincolnshire County Council, The University of Lincoln, Just Lincolnshire, JR Halkes Settlement and other Lincoln Faith Communities organised a Faiths Festival in Lincoln between the 21st April 2017 – 1st May 2017.
The aims of this festival were:
• To celebrate the diversity of Lincoln’s faith communities and their contribution to the wider community
• To provide opportunities for people to increase their religious literacy (that is, to support their ability to be able to hold informed conversations about religion and belief

Lincoln Mosque Open Day
The Islamic Association of Lincoln was proud to host ‘Visit My Mosque’ on the 5th of February 2017 .
We were proud to host the Peace Walk organised by the Interfaith Forum on the 26th of November 2016.
Our guests arrived at around 2.50pm for a short talk on Islam and a demonstration of the Salah/prayer. The Imam then a talk about the Islamic prayer (Salah) before a demonstration of the steps and stages in the prayer.
