Dr Tanweer Ahmed – Chairman (Trustee)
Has been serving on the IAL board since 2005. Along with providing leadership to all activities, he now oversees the fundraising for the first purpose built mosque in Lincoln. He is passionate about community cohesion and has played an important role for the last 10 years of keeping Muslims together under one umbrella but also to build relationship and better understanding with non-Muslims. In June 2014, he was appointed chairman of the Lincoln Community Cohesion Steering Group. The group was set up by the Lincoln City Council in 2012 Tanweer is the Director of Lincolnshire Clinical Research Facility and Head of Research & Development in the United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust.


Dr Salman Rabbani – Vice Chairman
In addition to assisting the chairman, Salman is also in charge of organising all the social and sports events of the IAL. He is an Orthopaedic surgeon at the Lincolnshire County Hospital Trust.


Dr Mohammad Zubair Qureshi –  (Trustee)
Zubair has been a long time active member of the Lincoln mosque before joining the committee board. He works as a GP at the South Park Surgery in Lincoln.


Br Mohamad Abdur Rafique – Finance Secretary (Trustee)
With its diverse range of activities (annual budget well over £60,000) the IAL is in constant need of someone to supervise all financial activity.
He is a restaurateur and business owner.


Dr Abdu Semiu Gbadebo – General Secretary
Semiu is an engineer by profession and is currently the ‎Lead Aerodynamicist at Siemens Energy.


Atikur Rehman Patel- Imam
Has been the Imam and Khateeb of the Lincoln Mosque since 2010. He graduated from the Islamic School of Preston with a major in Quran memorisation. He is also the appointed teacher at the Madrasah. In addition to his prerogatives, Imam Atikur also provides Islamic counselling and advice to individuals in matters ranging from faith, matrimony, grief etc.


Dr Amr Ahmed – Dawah officer
Since joining the commitee, Amr has has organised several lectures, he also coordinates all the da’wah work within the community. Amr is a senior lecturer at the Lincoln University at the department of Computing and Informatics.


Br. Isa Hamidou –  Madrassa Officer


Br. Omar Al-Maary – IT, Media and Publicity Officer
Omar joined the committee in 2015. He manages the website and mailing list. He is in charge of publicity via traditional media like posters but also using social media.
Omar is a controls engineer working for Siemens in Lincoln.
